When everything changed, I learned a valuable lesson.
I stared at those two small pink lines, awestruck. I knew something was different, but the last thing I expected was pregnancy. In that moment, everything shifted.
When I was twenty-two years old and pregnant with my oldest son, Austin, my entire world turned upside down in the best possible way. It was the wakeup call I needed to start making changes in my life. There was no transition, no gradual shift. One minute I was just Hannah, and the next I was Mom. In that split second, everything centered on that little person who I had yet to meet.
Even with the support of my loved ones, it was not easy to be a single mother. At the time, I had a career as a horse trainer. What I loved about it was helping a rider and a horse go from insecurity to confidence as they learned to ride together as a team throughout our lessons.
When I met my husband Christian it was when I least expected it and a few years later we got another amazing surprise we weren't expecting, twin boys. This is when I discovered that even if you do not feel ready, life tends to surprise you with exactly what you need.
Having Austin was one of the best things that could have happened to me, and it led me to a whole new life. Also, while having twins is no walk in the park, they were exactly the people I needed in my life. The moment we found out about them; we were so overwhelmed. It was hard at first, having two tiny infants totally dependent on you can be all-consuming. Christian, however, has and always will be my rock and I can never thank him enough for all the love and support.
With all the ups and downs of life, and I was far from perfect, but I found an inner strength that I had had all along. My father raised me to be persistent and strong-willed which I drew on without even knowing it. All of life’s big and little surprises have taught me that we are all more capable of so much more than we know and if we tap into that inner strength just a little, then it can open us up to a whole new world of possibilities.
I have been a licensed REALTOR® since 2012. Whenever I am not working, I enjoy going camping, dirt bike riding, doing martial arts, and any activity I can do together with my family. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is helping people find their inner glow through accomplishing their dreams.
Whether you are looking to buy or sell, it is only natural to be nervous about the process. I am here for my clients, whether it’s a question they have about a property or just need to talk through what is going on. Being that calm in the center of all of the different moving pieces is one of things I love about what I do. Thanks to all of my life experiences, being a horse trainer and my years in real estate have given me the ability to listen, advise and to give my clients the confidence they need to strategize about their long-term success and achieving their real estate goals.
Sincerely,
Hannah Conrad
